Wednesday Nights

Concordia Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas offers Bible studies, fellowship groups, &/or special worship services each Wednesday night.

Wednesday Night Bible Study begins at 7 p.m.

This Bible study has been placed on hold until after Easter and will resume on Wednesday, May 1. Instead, you are invited to join us each Wednesday in Lent at 7 p.m. for a special series of services. This Lenten season, our sermon series is called “Behold the Lamb of God” and focuses on the Beatitudes from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Our Lenten schedule is as follows:

  • Ash Wednesday, March 6 - “Behold…Poor in Spirit”

  • March 13 - “Behold…The Meek”

  • March 20 - “Behold…Persecuted for Righteousness’ Sake”

  • March 27 - “Behold…The Merciful”

  • April 3 - “Behold…Who Mourn”

  • April 10 - “Behold…Those Who Hunger and Thirst”

Confirmation Classes are seasonal, & begin at 5:30 p.m.

These classes are an in-depth study of Luther's Small Catechism & other works which outline the Lutheran faith & doctrine. Attending Confirmation classes requires a commitment & intent to become confirmed in the Lutheran faith, so please speak with our Pastor prior to signing up. Classes usually meet from September - November, & again from January - March. Final Confirmation & First Communion are then celebrated at Easter upon favorable final examinations & interviews. Upon being confirmed, however, a student is then considered to be an adult member of the church & is permitted to celebrate Holy Communion each time it is offered.

Fun, Fitness & Fellowship! begins at 5:30 p.m.

Exercise: A Program You Can Live With

Our group meets every Monday & Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Start the new year off on the right foot, by making a habit of putting one foot in front of the other. If you have any questions about the class, please contact Alice Farrack.
